Apple workers across the nation walked off the job on Tuesday, in the first nationally coordinated industrial action by retail workers in Australian history. Staff protested at Apple stores in Brisbane, in the CBD and Chermside, and at Charlestown in Newcastle — the three stores with the highest percentage of Retail and Fast Food Workers Union members in the country — for an hour to demand a better deal on pay and conditions.
